Welcome to the St Michael's stage 3 blog. Here we will reflect and comment on events and issues that are happening here at school and in the world around us. We would love you to add your thoughts and comments as well.
I loved the excursion soooooo much! :D I learned more about what type of animals you can find in the Rain forest and names of plants. Another thing I learnt was the difference between woodland and the Rain forest.
I had a really great time at the blue mountains rainforest. I learnt the names of some trees e.g. Tea tree, Gum tree, eucalyptus tree. I also learnt that there are many eucalyptus trees but only 6 of them, koalas can eat.
Bianca: I REALLY enjoyed the excursion. It was very fun. We learnt about the plants and animals and our tour guide Dindi told us about a bird called the lyre bird. Only the male's tail has pretty feathers like a peacock but the female lyre birds don't.
I thought the excursion was epic. I learnt that some plant are eddable.

ReplyDeleteThe excursion was so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I learnt that the lyrebird is really important because it did so many things for the aboriginal people.
ReplyDeleteCan you remember some of the reasons why the lyrebird was so important to the aboriginal people?

ReplyDeleteThat it is our rainforest is such an important point as we get so much from the rainforests that we must remember to look after them.
